What Our Guests Are Saying
Great place to stay!! Clean bathrooms and showers. Fun pool! Nice fishing pond! We had a great time!
This campground was chosen for our annual family reunion camping trip, we had 5 sites between us. Owners are amazing host, they brought your firewood to your site and at a cheap price i might add, bathrooms were always clean and a large laundry room if u need. Very close to the lake and plenty of places to eat and a few mini golfs nearby, the pool was very clean, kids loved fishing the pond. The 6 person cabin is amazing, the wife was awesome for letting us see it before she cleaned it for the next guest! Perfect place for a date weekend trip especially if u are on a budget, nightly rate is inexpensive and worth it if u want the quiet sit at the fire! Definitely plan to return because this place seams as a great place for families with autistic or sensory disorders. 100% recommended
We stayed here over the 4th of July (250 celebration). We found the campground nice and well taken care of. The hookups were in good condition on our site (51). I did see some pretty old pedestals but they were being used so they must have been ok. Our Watchdog did not complain. Water pressure was good. Sites in the 70-87 range have few to no trees. The rest of the sites are heavily tree covered. Usually not a problem unless you want to use your Starlink. I will say ATT/Consumers Cellular had good service. I noticed some of the sites, ours included, could have used a trim of some low hanging branches. The office has weirdly short hours. Cannot get wood after 6. I have never seen that restriction before especially since they are serious about only burning their wood, which was ok quality. Seems it should be a little more accessible given that restriction. A good portion of the campground is seasonal and unlike some other places they were well maintained. The seasonal sites are in the back. We were pleased with our stay and will come back again. We camped at Wooded Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Stayed 3 nights. Very quiet place. Owners were very friendly from the 1st interaction with them a few weeks prior. The sites were spacious and pretty level. We will be back. Even talking about leaving camper for a month on a site so we can bring our boat. Downside: Bathrooms not handicap accessible. You have to step up to get in the shower stalls. They have handles to help if you have trouble. They do have a plan for upgrades to make handicap accessible.
Rented the modern cabin. Everything was great. Owners are friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms are spotless. It's an older campground and you can see the improvements the owners are making. The RV sites in the back look amazing.
Super nice, quiet & clean family campground. The Hosts are wonderful, extremely kind, helpful & poliet! Lots to do in Houghton.
I rented a small cabin here it ment our needs. The bathrooms where clean showers small but did the job. The campground was quiet., dog friendly and the owners where very nice and helpful. Bring quarters for your laundry.I would stay here again.
Had a great experience here! Me and a buddy came up north to ride orv trails and it is very close by, we even rode our bikes straight to the trail from the campground. The owner was very kind and offered to help fix my bike when my rear sprocket broke off! The pool was pretty cold when we came but it was very clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend this campground to others!
Was a wonderful and peaceful place to stay my dog also enjoyed he’s stay. Thank you
