Absolutely! Houghton Lake offers great family fun with beautiful beaches and water activities right at your doorstep. You’re also just a short drive from Higgins Lake for more swimming and boating, plus Cadillac has additional family attractions and dining options.
Yes, we’re conveniently located right off US-127, making it easy to reach us from anywhere in Michigan. Our location on Federal Avenue provides simple access without navigating through heavy traffic or winding back roads.
Tents are 3 nights maximum and RVs are 2 weeks maximum. Unless you are on a seasonal or a monthly site. We do not allow tents to stay monthly or for the season.
We have a 2 pet maximum on campsites and in the rustic cabins. Pets aren’t allowed in the modern cabins. While we don’t charge for pets on campsites, we do charge for pets in the rustic cabins. $10 per night per pet.
The season begins May 1st and ends October 20th. Reservations can be made online or by phone after January 10th of the year you would like to stay.
At Wooded Acres Camp Store, you can buy firewood (delivered to your site), ice, propane refill, shirts, hats, candy, ice cream, camping essentials, trinkets, toys, gifts, tackle and bait, just to name a few things.
No. Firewood can harbor diseases and pests that could devastate our beautiful RV park. We sell dry firewood and will even deliver it to your site. $5/bundle or $35/load.
The pool opens by Memorial Day Weekend, weather permitting. (In all our years of owning Wooded Acres, we have always had it open by Memorial Day Weekend.) It closes after Labor Day Weekend. Pool hours are 11AM to 7PM — and if we have it ready early, we’ll open it ahead of schedule!
